How to Learn Affiliate Marketing Online

Create a website:

You can use a blog if you desire but there is so much benefit to having your own website. There is a lot How to Learn Affiliate Marketing Onlineof things you need to know when you choose to create a website. I will give you all the information you need to know to make sure you can make a scam free decision. It really is not difficult at all, in fact, when you have all the knowledge you need it becomes easy.

Your Domain:

This is the easy part, there are a lot of places to get a domain name these days, and a lot of varying on pricing. My advice is to never pay for a domain name monthly. You should purchase your domain and own it. I personally would not spend over $20 for a domain name.

Once you have purchased your domain you need a site to host it, there are some places to host your domain fairly inexpensive, be careful with this as search engines benchmark your speed, not only on computers but on mobile devices as well. Cheap hosting services tend to fall short in this category, and with  my experiences the email services provided for your domain can show up in people’s spam box. I have personally experienced this.

You can check a website’s hosting speed by using google.com Page Speeds insight. There are other things that can slow down your site other than your hosting service such as large images and Page Speed insights will recommend what you need to fix.

Decide Your Niche:

Your niche is simply a specialized piece of a marketplace. When choosing your niche it should be an item you are comfortable with. An example for myself would be to become an affiliate marketer for organic gardening. I am a passionate organic gardener always looking for ways to improve what I do, making it easy for me to help others avoid the same mistakes that I have made.

Find Your Product or Service:

There is way to many Affiliate programs to cover in this post but whatever your niche is you can google How to Learn Affiliate Marketing Onlineand see how many hits it gets on your search. Virtually anything you come up with for a niche you will have an opportunity to make money in your category.

Affiliate Site Content:

It does get more important here, you do not want a cookie cutter website, search engines will realize this. You don’t want to pay for a ready-made turnkey site as everyone else trying the same opportunity will also receive the same template.  You want to present your site as being unique to the web so it draws good attention, not cookie cutter.

Attracting Targeted Traffic:

To make money on an Affiliate Site you need to attract a large quantity of targeted traffic. The greater the traffic to your website the higher the income potential. To generate large volumes of traffic you need real good Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and a great way to research and find the very important keywords you need for search engine traffic.

Have a Solid Community:

You need to be a part of a community where help is available when you need it. A community where you can personally contact the owner. It is very important to have the environment where even a beginner can feel comfortable, design their own site and be proud of your accomplishments.

Please feel free to leave me a comment or question below, I will get back with you.

Best regards

Randy

Hey Randy, it seems like more and more people go online these days to purchase not only the things that they want to have (luxuries) but also the things that they NEED to have too!

For example, my mom started buying food off of Amazon! I didn’t even know that you could do that! But I guess as technology gets better and better, there is more opportunity for people everywhere.

I think affiliate marketing is a brilliant idea as it allows someone with a good website to help other people find great products that they need and want. At the same time, the person who makes the recommendation can get rewarded with some money from the company that actually sells the products.

Do you think that the potential for people to make money online through affiliate marketing is getting bigger as time goes on and technologies improve?

      Thanks Nick,

I know that affiliate marketing has been around since 1989 are there about, I personally believe brick and mortar is slowly dissipating due to consumer online shopping habits. With that said I believe Affiliate Marketing is in it’s infancy stages for the times we are experiencing.
