Online Work At Home Scams

Home Assembly (Crafts)

Although I am sure there are legitimate ones out there, I would use the most extreme caution choosing this as a business. It sounds awesome, send in your money to cover the cost of the material, they will send you the material, you then simply assemble the items following their directions, it looks good so you send in the product and get paid.

WRONG,  really do your research on this one, check the terms and agreement, their disclosure, and check with the BBB for complaints. I have had no success with this whatsoever. They receive the assembled items and it goes through their quality control team, you, in turn, receive an email stating it does not pass quality control. You are out the money and your time.Work From Home Start Free

Medical Billing From Home

Yes, I fell for this one as well, you are told you will receive state of the art software, I did receive software but there was a cost to upgrade it to the standards you need to be successful. What the did not tell me is I had to write up letters and send to my own medical firms, and I did. Did I ever waste money, the cost to print the letters, buy paper and envelopes pay postage to send the letters.

Needless to say, they kept telling me to not give up, send out more letters. The best I ever got was a return letter telling me they either did their own billing in-house, or they used a billing firm to do all of their billing.Again I lost a lot of money and time on another scam. I’m not saying they all work this way but I had enough of it.

Companies Needing Home Workers

Ouch, you guessed it, I fell for this one too. You pay a small one-time fee in exchange for a list of companies wanting to hire you to work at home. I received a list, it was either companies that did not hire people to work at home, some were companies that had done at home hiring in the past.

At best the rest of the list was information that I could use the almighty Google and find the same companies. What a way to make money, spend the day searching out work at home jobs and sell the list, knowing you have never tried it yourself. No thanks scammed again

Get Paid to Stuff EnvelopesMake Money From Home

This is an old school classic indeed, and by now I am sure you guessed it, I fell for this one too. You would think I would have learned by now. There are several variations to this scam but I will tell you about the version of stuffing envelopes for cash that I fell for.

Of course, I paid cash up front to receive my initial material. What I received was crazy, but I spent money so I had to try it. I was sent flyers to hang up all over town, I also received stickers that had to be placed on the rear window of my car, which I had to take pictures of and send it to the company.

And this was to get started, once I had completed all of the requirements I had to buy a mailing list, I had to pay additional for the materials I was to mail out, I had to pay for postage. WOW after sending to a mailing list of 500 and not receiving a single response I tore the stickers off my car, I then drove around town to pull down the fliers I put up, most of them had already been torn off or removed.

Conclusion

I spent a lot of time and money trying the nonsense out there, gave it up for a while but the drive in me kept drifting me back. I tried online surveys in which there are legitimate ones out there, but I could not replace my normal nine to five position with that. I then got into organic gardening, sharing my knowledge with people and began my success with it.How To Make Money Online

After all my trying and not being able to succeed, to finding something that was real. That’s why I created this site, to help others with the same drive I have to avoid being scammed. As with my organic gardening I learned quickly there are a lot of people that know more than I do (Which I learn from), and there are those that I help.

That’s how you make money online, You DO NOT  need to work for someone else, you have your own inner talent that can help other people and you can get paid for your work. My goal is to help you get there scam free. You can read my review on my number one choice for success Click Here. Please leave me feedback below.

I’ve tried a number of different online scams in the past, and even some of the one’s you’ve mentioned here – the main one being stuffing envelopes. What a joke!

But even in today’s internet world, there are more fraudulent opportunities than ever!

I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s fell for scams LOL :P. But at least we’ve had the experience and can use it as a learning curve to help others from falling into the same “snake pits”.

It is hard to know what’s real these days, but there really are legit platforms out there that are prepared to help us build legitimate businesses.

You are absolutely correct Neil, that’s why I started this site, I almost gave up on my dreams as a result of scamming, so this site is all about educating people so they can make quality decisions.

      Thanks for your feedback.

I have been searching for work from home jobs for some time now and I have also ran into plenty of scams. I like how detailed and honest you were with your experiences from beginning to end and everything involved. Thank you for sharing this – I will definitely stay away from these companies; especially the last one!

    Hey Randy,

I see you fell for many scams, isn’t it in fact time for you to give up searching for an online income or do you have a great advice for me? I saw later, that you found a platform, which seems to be legit but I wanted to react to just this post 🙂

I guess you’re from the US, although I can’t determine that exactly, but most scams you mentioned are jobs, which are done in prison here 😛

Could you tell me some more about the “not scam” which you found?

It is an online platform designed to assist those who join create their own online business from the ground up. It is extremely comprehensive but very simple to use, it walks you step by step with written instructions but contains video most of the time. Here is the link to my review.
